Fort Hood Report Omits Hasan’s Name

leave a comment »

The long awaited report on the Fort Hood shooting has been released. Two of the first questions that arise are; Who? Why?

The U.S. military pulled its head out of the sand long enough to release the  86 page report, Protecting the Force: Lessons From Fort Hood. Absent in the report is Major Nidal Hasan’s name, and his connections with Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical cleric in Yemen. No mention of radical Islam, terrorism is mentioned once.

The report reads like an action novel, without characters. How can our military protect us from an enemy that is nonexistent to them? Recently Sec. Napolitano was referring to terrorist attacks as man caused events, from this report one would assume Fort Hood was an event. No man, no cause. What would have happened if we failed to confront Hitler?

The FBI was aware of Hasan’s contact with al-Awlaki. They believed the 20 emails to al-Awlaki were part of Hasan’s research into the mind-set of Muslim soldiers who turn on their comrades. At the same time, Hasan’s colleagues at Walter Reed raised concerns with their superiors about his mental stability. Where did the FBI receive its information about Hasan’s research? How many military officers are in direct contact with known terrorists to write research papers? Isn’t that an act of terrorism?

John Lehman, 9/11 commission member, believes the reports silence on Islamic extremism “shows you how deeply entrenched the values of political correctness have become. It’s definitely getting worse, and is now so ingrained that people no longer smirk when it happens.”

The two leaders of the Pentagon review, former Army Secretary Togo West, and   Admiral, Vernon Clark seemed to avoid Hasan’s motives, as did Hasan’s superiors leading up to his attack on Nov. 5 that killed 13 and wounded 32.  Maj. Hasan didn’t   avoid his views about holding Shari’a laws above the Constitution or his  antiwar views  to his  patients.

Is this political correctness or suicide? Are we more concerned for others views, that we ignore our own values?

After every attack, we review, hold hearings, and enact laws against Americans. Maybe we need to think outside the box. We keep asking the same people the same questions. As the saying goes “if we keep doing what we did, we keep getting what we got.”

Search Me?

leave a comment »

Once again the citizens of this country are subjected to searches and unreasonable intrusion by the government. What is the reason for searching the victim of an attack? Have we gone nuts, are we more concerned about “political correctness” than reality? We have agency upon agency, the DHS budget for 2010 is $55bil. Still we are attacked because one person couldn’t or wouldn’t talk to someone else. I wonder what the world thinks when they watch this foolishness.
Remember the Fourth Amendent:
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Have you ever heard of the GOP?

leave a comment »

Do you remember the Obama campaign? They were tired of the same old politics,he knew all the problems,he was tired of the corruption, the good ol boys,(after all he was a senator for a few months).Bush..Bush..Bush.He was going to remake our country. His biggest prize was Healthcare reform.

Since ’06 the Dems have been in control of both houses, now the Whitehouse.Since then it’s been we didn’t know it was this bad.Really? We inherited this problem. We know! The stimulus will help control unemployment. It’s now 10%.The stimulus will take some more time. The stimulus is working, but we’re still not out of the woods.Your staff says the stimulus effect will end mid 2010.Money is being used, money is not yet spent.huh? We are looking at another stimulus.Next we are going to throw money at all of our supporters, after that we are going to use tax payer money to buy every corporation we can. Also throw in a few banks here and there, the Fannie and Freddie show also. All the time trying to push Public Healthcare that most of the country doesn’t  want anymore than all the spending.

Bush has been gone now for 11 mo.Now it’s time for your annual review. You’re response:the GOP won’t let us do it.Really?Thats it?This is’nt high school.Who did you think was sitting on the other side of the isle? Are you people that narrow sighted that  you have not heard the opposition from your own party? You know the people that Ms.Pelosi is torturing in her office. And the people outside the window with all the signs, they’re not cheering you on.When Pelosi is done with them, they get wheeled over to Obama to finish off.Why don’t you take care of all the fraud in Medicare, or can that only be done when you pass healthcare? That was a real knee slapper for me,we have known about this abuse for some time now,we were waiting the right time to use it in our favor.I wonder how the same Gov’t that can’t give people a shot in the arm, is going to give the economy a shot in the ass?

Campaigning is easy, say what people want to here, listen to them cheer. Now the rubber meets the road.
